Engineering Faculty Share Five Ideas on How to Incorporate EOP Framework into Curricula

On September 22, 2023, VentureWell hosted a webinar featuring a panel of five faculty members who shared how they are incorporating the Engineering for One Planet (EOP) Framework into their 2023-2024 classrooms and programs. These educators recently attended the American Society for Engineering Education’s (ASEE) annual conference where they took a deep dive into the Framework.

VentureWell and The Lemelson Foundation partnered to catalyze the EOP initiative, and collaborated with hundreds of stakeholders to produce the Framework.

While there has been significant progress in integrating sustainability topics into engineering education, most engineering students are still not learning these concepts, tools, and methodologies. Watch a recording of the webinar to gain tangible insights and examples of how you can incorporate social and environmental sustainability principles into your own engineering programs this school year.

Featured Speakers Included:

  • Aaditya Khanal, Assistant Professor, The Jasper Department of Chemical Engineering, The University of Texas at Tyler
  • Arthur Huang, Associate Professor, College of Engineering & Computer Science, The University of Central Florida
